Grant Richard Kwiecinski, a.k.a. Griz, is a critically-acclaimed, genre-defying music producer and DJ. He’s been known to include a plethora of genres in his mix. Primarily, his signature sound had always been infused with funk and soul, thanks in part to his background as a saxophone player. Kwiecinski’s music has been dubbed “future funk,” which consistently amasses a massive pack of ravers wherever he performs. In 2015, he made his phenomenal breakthrough after releasing his fourth effort, Say It Loud. The album debuted at number 9 on Billboard’s Dance Chart. The following year, he debuted on the Billboard 200 upon releasing his fifth studio effort, Good Will Prevail. The album also soared to number 2 on the Dance chart, making it among his highest-charting record to date.

In 2019, Kwiecinski self-released follow-up album Ride Waves, which featured singles “It Gets Better” featuring DRAM, “Can’t Get Enough,” “I’m Good,” “A New Day” featuring Matisyahu, and “Find on My Way” featuring Wiz Khalifa. Like its predecessor, the album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Dance Chart and entered the Billboard 200. Two years later, Kwiecinski dropped another self-released album, Rainbow Brain, which peaked at number 9 on the Dance chart. The album spawned two chart-performing singles, “Astro Frunk” and the title track, which featured ProbCause and Chrishira Perrier.

Besides releasing incredible music, Kwiecinski also has some groundbreaking charity work up his sleeve. He founded the annual event, 12 Days of Grizmas, to generate awareness for nonprofits. He once held a monster event in Detroit called GriZMAS, which raised money for various charities.

Earlier this year, Grammy-nominated DJs Deadmau5 and Kaskade released a collaboration album, Kx5. The 2023 effort features several hits, including the lead single. “Escape.” Before dropping this groundbreaking album, the duo released several collaboration singles, such as “Take Me High,” “Alive,” “Avalanche,” and “When I Talk” – all featured in the well-received Kx5. Upon its release, the album peaked at number 6 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums.
