The Three Pianos tour, featuring all three eras of singer-songwriter Andrew McMahon with Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, is coming to the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, August 14th, 2026.
Something Corporate is a 1998 piano-driven pop-punk band from Orange County known for their intense and passionate early 2000s emo work. Something Corporate fans can expect to hear classic songs such as "Punk Rock Princess," "I Woke Up in a Car," and the 11-minute magnum opus "Konstantine," in addition to other fan favorites "Hurricane" and "Space."
The band went on hiatus in 2010 but have periodically returned to the stage to perform for their cult following of fans. In 2024 the band returned to the scene with their new single "Death Grip" proving that the band is far from over. Fans can get a taste of the band's best work on their best-of collection Played in Space: The Best of Something Corporate, which was released in 2010.
Created in 2004, the music of this band is more to sing along to while cruising down the highway in your car as opposed to the emo packed songs of Something Corporate. The songs of Jack's Mannequin are often described as being more refined and intricate than those of other alternative rock bands and are a big part of why Andrew's solo work is so different from other songwriters. The songs of Jack's Mannequin are a nice bridge for fans of the band and will lead perfectly into the more mellow and pop-oriented solo work that Andrew produces as Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.
The current project of McMahon brings all of the Indie Pop tracks that fans of the singer-songwriter have come to love over the last decade or so. Fans will be able to hear songs such as "Cecilia and the Satellite," "Fire Escape," "Synesthesia," and "Canyon Moon." There will also be some tracks played off of his two previous albums, but the focus will be on stories that Andy McMahon brings to the songs of his current project.
Fans of Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin are in for a treat as the songs of Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness are filled with a wide variety of lyrics that range from the personal to the fantastical. These songs are played on top of extremely catchy melodies that have been created to be played with a full band and to be played loud!
