Hey Hey Hey Chicago! All my concert lovers and lakeside loathers out there, y’all ready for the tour of a lifetime?! Guaranteed to be a night to remember right as the summertime Chi season begins - we might have to send you our LOCATION for this one, ‘cause y’all know how hard it is to get to Northerly Island these days. And after we sing our songs and moan over how we’re Young Dumb and Broke - we’ll surely remember it ALL, right here when Khalid comes to stage!
YEP - you heard that right folks! Right here at Northerly Island and right as the summer begins, KHALID is coming on his It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour - and today, that’s right here! Right in the middle of Chicago!
Tickets for the show that ALSO includes an opening performance from Lauv are on sale now and starting at $82. Grab yours today - time to play!
Chicago babes, lakefront legends, and audiophiles everywhere around Ashburn to Aurora - y’all ready to scream “SEND MEEEEE… yOOOour location!” like its Sophomore year of Uni all over again?? Gather ‘round friends, ‘cause Khalid is pulling up to the Windy City and we GOTTA talk about it so y’all don’t say you didn’t know. After what feels like a forever hiatus from putting out music in the world, Khalid is BACK and bringing us his 2026 It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour all summer long : and yes, Chicago, we’re on the list. Touching down at Northerly Island, right on the water and Chicago’s little Narnia moment in the middle of downtown, we’re already emotionally unwell about it so please don’t ask how we’re coping with this show. We’re welcoming Khalid back for a perfect summer night, just picture it with us for a minute folks. Lake breeze mixed with soft synths, big smiles and little tears from everyone in the crowd, and a good ‘ole Chicago scream-sing-sesh that heals every inner teenager who grew up with his music playing through cheap headphones and car aux cords. And with Lauv opening the night? Yeah… that’s a double-header of R&B emotions all night long, and quite honestly - thank god.
So let’s talk about who Khalis is for a second - because maybe you know the guy, but do you really KNOW him? Born in Georgia but raised in Texas, he went from uploading tracks to SoundCloud in high school to becoming the voice of our generation before he could even order a drink. His debut album American Teen (back from 2017) scorched the Billboard charts, sure: as well as many other things. But most importantly, it rewired the pop-R&B landscape at the height of the Drake era into something softer, warmer, and way more introspective. Songs like “Location,” “Young Dumb & Broke,” and that desert-drive, late-night glow defined a whole decade of playlists. Then came the Grammy nominations, the era-defining collaborations with Billie Eilish, Normani, Pink, Marshmello, Calvin Harris, and everyone else in the industry who needed his soft baritone vocals on their radio bangers. And then Free Spirit launched him into global superstardom, and now he’s stepping into his boldest chapter yet with after the sun goes down— an album drenched in pop nostalgia, self-discovery, and those late-night melodies that just… hit differently. And THAT, folks, is exactly why we need to see this whole thing live, right here at one of the ONLY stops on this North American run with Khalid - right here, right now!
SO - we all know the assignment. Grab your crew, your situationship or your boo,and some tissues too, and then - let’s get ready for the best night of the whole summer! See you guys soon, right here for some Khalid tunes!
