TAKING BACK THE POWER

Back in 2018, Ava Max found her big break with “Sweet But Psycho” — her single that peaked at #1 in 20+ countries and received a 4x Platinum certification from the RIAA. The track hit the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, gaining her mainstream attention as a new pop star on the rise. She soon dominated the pop scene with a roster of succeeding hits — the platinum awarded “So Am I,” the fan-favorites “Freaking Me Out” & “Torn,” gold-awarded “Salt,” and her collaboration with Alan Walker for “Alone, Pt. II.” In 2020, as the world faced tough times, her music rose and shook up the hearts of her listeners around the globe. Max’s powerful single “Kings & Queens” became a massive hit and received a 2x Platinum certification from the RIAA. As the world tuned in, she became one of the biggest icons in the era of new mainstream pop stars.

In 2023, she released her sophomore album “Diamonds & Dancefloors,” featuring her iconic tracks “Maybe You're the Problem” and “Million Dollar Baby.” Over the last two years, fans have been on the watch for her next big era. Now, she’s teasing all of us with a reminder to “Don’t Click Play.”

Her new single “Lovin Myself,” tells her fans that nothing can take her energy away this time. She’s ridding herself of any outside force that tries to bring her down. “This song came from a moment where I finally realized I didn’t need anyone else’s validation to feel whole,” Max shared with Rolling Stone. Recalling how she’s gone through drastic episodes of highs & lows in her life, she discovered that her relationship with herself is the most important amidst all the “public scrutiny” she faced and her own “private growth.”

“Lovin Myself is the most honest I’ve been in a song in a long time,” she added. “I wanted it to feel like an anthem for anyone who’s learning to be their own anchor.”

It’s not about selfishness, but it’s simply a desire to heal. Back on the road, her fans are all down and ready to support this queen in her best era of music yet.
