Spring
2025 has been a huge year for Huntington Bank Pavilion. The spring season opened up with an awesome performance by Peach Pit & Briston Maroney in May. They celebrated the co-headline Long Hair, Long Life tour on May 29, and had fans “Freakin’ Out on the Interstate.” Next up was Beyond Wonderland. The magical festival returned to Northerly Island for two unforgettable days. “When day breaks in Wonderland, a curious cast of characters emerges, and fantastical animals of all shapes and sizes run wild. In this place, beyond our imaginations, colors shine brighter, smiles are wider, and the secrets of Wonderland come to light.” The festival was full of vibrant visuals and interactive experiences. Fans had a wild time exploring the different themed stages, including Queen’s Domain, Mad Hatter’s Castle, Cheshire Woods, and Caterpillar’s Garden. Saturday night (June 8) saw huge players like Marshmello, SLANDER, and Loud Luxury take to the stage. Meanwhile, Sunday (June 9) brought electronic music’s finest including Afrojack, Netski, and Wilkinson.
Next up was country mainstay Teddy Swims. This rising star graced the stage on June 13 with the praised I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2) Tour. The concert came in celebration of his latest album of the same name. Fans got the chance to dance the night away to brand new hits like “Not Your Man,” “Northern Lights,” and “It’s Not Easy.” The atmosphere was pure bliss. June also welcomed Halsey (June 17), Stick Figure (June 18), and Simple Minds (June 20) to the Huntington Bank Pavilion. Simple Minds put on an unforgettable show. They brought the Alive & Kicking Tour to Northerly Island, and they didn’t disappoint. Attendees got the chance to vibe out to their favorite duo live. The night hit an all-time high when Simple Minds played “Don’t You (Forget About Me).”
Summer
Summer started with a two-night rager from the Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Dave Matthews Band (June 27-28). July was another great month. On July 9, the legend of Spanish rock Bunbury brought his “Huracán Ambulante Tour” to the stage. Fast forward to August and some huge artists sang their hearts out. The month started with hotshots Men I Trust. The hazy mellow-pop trio brought their greatest and latest hits to the venue on August 6 with the celebrated Equus Tour. August also saw Goo Goo Dolls & Dashboard Confessional (August 13), Coheed and Cambria & Taking Back Sunday (August 19), Rob Thomas & A Great Big World (August 20), Above & Beyond (August 22), and Simple Plan (August 24). One stand out performance was from Neil Young on August 27. The King of Rock took over the stage with the Chrome Hearts for the Love Earth Tour… And it was awesome!
September was just as epic. The month opened with blues rock duo The Black Keys. The Ohio natives landed on September 3 with their No Rain No Flowers Tour and the crowd went wild for their latest earworms “Don’t Let Me Go” and “Beautiful People (Stay High).” Next up was Uncle Charlie’s R&B Cookout: Charlie Wilison, Babyface, & K-Ci on September 6, Tedeschi Trucks Band on September 9, Quinn XCII on September 19, Goose on September 20, and Turnstile on September 26.
The year wrapped up in October with awesome performances from Queens Of The Stone Age (October 2), Anderson Paak and The Free Nationals (October 4), and a techno party with John Summit & Friends from October 10-12. The wild three-night run saw the world class producer and DJ rave with his latest releases “EAT THE BASS,” “Shiver,” “Fade Out,” and the number 1 Dance Radio smash hit, “Where You Are.” Fans were also spoiled with some classics like “Deep End,” “Sun Came Up,” and “Touch Me.”
There’s nothing like catching your favorite artist perform live at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. “This is my favorite venue in all of Chicago! I go at least once every summer,” says one happy concertgoer. While another says, “Fantastic venue to see a concert. The views are beautiful and the sound was great. Nothing like being able to hear some of your favorite bands while seeing the lake and Chicago skyline.”
