Chicago's very own Lewis Carroll-themed, psychedelic playground, exploding with all the sounds of EDM, is back for a 3rd year this June 6-7, 2026, at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. It's time to "journey down the rabbit hole" one more time and enter "The World Beyond."

Featuring an insane 70-80 artists, blending house, techno, bass, and melodic genres, the strictly 18+ event emphasizes a safe, inclusive space for EDM lovers with a focus on community and self-expression. Doors, or more rightly, warrens, open at 2:00 PM each day, and music hops on all night until the pumpkin carriage arrives at midnight.

The Stages

With four main stages, all specially themed and set to bring you the most diverse selection of EDM on the planet. For 2026, expect 70+ artists with a mix of returning favorites like ILLENIUM and new GRAMMY-nominated talents in house and bass. Lineup announcements typically drop in February and are always building on the previous year's success with even more international crossovers.

The Red Queen's Domain

The flagship main stage, enter the Red Queen's royal court through grand arches and face a massive throne-like stage. This is the home of house and bass house anthems. Extreme laser lights, massive LED screens, booming subwoofers, and pyro like you've never seen. Past headliners here include Afrojack in 2025 and Tiësto in 2024.

Mad Hatter's Castle

Storm the gothic fortress like stage, this mad, eclectic stage focuses on dubstep, trap, and future bass and is hosted by Bassrush on Saturdays. Mind bending drops, heavy wubbs, and super bass heavy sets abound. 2025 highlights included Subtronics and Ganja White Night, while Diplo headlined in 2024.

Cheshire Woods

Time to put a smile on that face with the forested enclave winding through glowing trees and Cheshire Cat motifs, its a complex woodland featuring ethereal projections and a deep-misty feeling. Come for melodic bass, future bass, and electronic soul, just don't get lost in the dreams. Audien and Blanke headlined here in 2025.

Caterpillar's Garden

A psychedelic garden stage with blooming floral installations, hypnotic rhythms, and vibrant color bursts makes it a groove-filled oasis, often with interactive mushroom sculptures. Insomniac Records maintains the trip with genre-defying house and techno. 2024 saw MEDUZA and Gene Farris energize this realm.

Other Activities

There's more to Beyond Wonderland Chicago than just the music. A lush ground awaits, filled with immersive art installations and interactive sculptures like giant teacups and the Mad Hatter's mirror mazes. Costumed performers roam as whimsical characters, including Formal Foxes, Leopard Ladies, and a fantastical Cheshire Cat. Multidimensional environments feature pop-up realms, like a glowing mushroom forest for chill photo sessions.

Wellness zones offer yoga flows and sound baths between sets, while food trucks serve themed eats, such as "Queen's High Tea" bites and "Caterpillar Glow" smoothies. Plus, "rabbit hole tours," live painting sessions, sensory play areas, and Wonderland storytelling sessions around fire pits. These are just a few of the things you can find while on a break from the dance floor intensity.

Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island

A festival that sees the entire 30,000-capacity outdoor amphitheater remade into a whimsical dreamscape, offering panoramic views of the Chicago skyline, Burnham Harbor, and sublime Soldier Field sunsets. It's also easy enough to get to, just 1.1 miles from the Roosevelt L station, 0.9 miles from the Museum Campus Metra, and near CTA bus stops. There are also bike racks available on-site for eco-conscious arrivals and the rest of the 91-acre Northerly Island nature reserve to explore.
