Without question, Goo Goo Dolls is one of the most prominent rock bands in the 90s and early 2000s. Having been nominated for the Grammy multiple times, the band sits among very few who found longevity in the saturated industry.

The band, led by guitarist/vocalist Johnny Reznick, bassist Robby Tackak, and drummer George Tutuska, started in 1987. They initially released albums under Metal Blade Records with an underground punk rock sound. The band found considerable success, especially when their 1995 "A Boy Named Good" album came out. But it was only in 1998 when their single "Iris" from the album "Dizzy Up the Girl" became a massive hit. The single catapulted the band to international stardom and enabled the band to transition from alternative rock to stadium rock.

The band has received many awards and nominations, including four Billboard Music Awards wins and four Grammy nominations. Goo Goo Dolls was also awarded the esteemed "Songwriters Hall of Fame" and "Guitar Center RockWalk Hall of Fame" in 2008 and 2013, respectively. To date, the band has released 14 studio albums, the latest of which is their 2022 record "Chaos in Bloom." The 10-track album has hit the charts in multiple territories and is considered one of the band's most significant works.

This 2023, Goo Goo Dolls is back on the road for another concert tour. This follows the success of their 2022 Summer Tour, which sold out stadiums and amphitheaters all over the country. Dubbed "The Big Night Out Tour," the series of shows will kick off on July 24, 2023, in Tampa, Florida, and will roll in major venues before capping it off at Highland, California's Yaamava' Theater on September 7, 2023. The band, together with the rock band O.A.R, will stop at Chicago, Illinois, to perform at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island on August 22.

O.A.R. (short for Of A Revolution) is a Maryland-based rock band that has been in the business since the late 90s. The band is known for their hits "Shattered," "Love and Memories," "That Was A Crazy Game," and "I Feel Home," among many others. The band's newest album, "The Arcade," was released on July 15, 2022. The band is sure to rock out the amphitheater and set the mood before Goo Goo Dolls takes center stage.
